Crieff High Street frontages improvements
The project to renovate the frontages of premises along the south side of Crieff's High Street is moving ahead, after a number of delays.
Final agreement has now been reached with owners of the properties involved in the project and the contract for works will shortly go out to tender.
The project is being funded by 50% from the Rural Initiatives Budget (contributions from Perth and Kinross Council and Scottish Enterprise Tayside) and 50% from owners of properties along that side of the High Street.
The project is a result of discussions in 1998 between Crieff and West Strathearn Initiative Trust (CWSIT) and Perth and Kinross Council, with CWSIT subsequently holding meetings between proprty owners and Council officials. The Business Association has been supportive of this project.
Since there have been delays, discussion will be had shortly with proprietors as to when the physical works should start, with consideration given to impact on trade over the projected four to six weeks it will take to complete the works to the various properties.
