Paths Network nears completion
marketing opportunity!
The Crieff area Paths Network project is nearing completion for this summer and this gives an opportunity to promote to visitors and locals alike the area's hotels, restaurants and shops.
The Business Association is involved in current discussion on how promotion of the Paths Network can be tied up with marketing of the area as a centre for good food and quality products.
Some 50 kilometres of paths have been included in the paths network project, with approximately £200.000 being spent on the project as a whole.
In 1996, as soon as it knew that a countryside trust was to be set the former Crieff Initiative (now Crieff and West Strathearn Initiative Trust and Local Rural Partnership) began pressing for the Crieff area paths network to be looked at. The project has been led by Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust, and taken forward on the basis of local consultation. There should be economic as well as social and environmental benefits as a result.
