| Towns | Kindrogan Hill Trail |
Height climbed: 800ft./245m Grade: B Parking: Kindrogan Field Centre Toilet facilities: None This is a pleasant forest walk, with opportunities to spot such wildlife as red squirrels, roe deer (and red deer in winter), pheasant, and goldcrests. To reach the Kindrogan Field Centre cross the River Ardle at Enochdhu, a tiny hamlet typical of those found throughout Perthshire. The drive is signposted for the centre. The walk begins at the Lodge House before the centre and leads steeply up the side of Kindregan Hill - through dense, coniferous Forestry Commision woodland - to the open summit of the hill. The lack of trees allows for fine views in all directions. From the hill top the path continues northward, down through the wood to rejoin the road to the Field Centre. Turn right here for half a mile to return to the car park. |
