Scottish Towns Oak Walk
Length: 2 miles
Height climbed: Negligible
Grade: C
Parking: Auchterarder
Toilet facilities: Auchterarder

This walk takes you on a loop from the southern end of the town, through some of the surrounding farmland and woodland; partly on surfaced roads, partly on paths and farm tracks.
As you walk south from the centre of town, turn right, up Ochil road. Continue up this road until you reach a fork at the cairn erected for Queen Victoria's Silver Jubilee, then veer right again. Continue along this road until you reach an opening to your right, which leads into a belt of trees. Go through this.
The line of mixed deciduous woodland - with its small burn and multitude of wild flowers during the summer months - runs through cultivated farmland on both sides. Turn right, through a gap in the fence and out of the wood (you will see a small cottage to your left and a broad farm track leading from it) As you walk along this track - passing Lower Borland Farm - you will have a view of the Ochil Hills and of the Grampians rising above Crieff.
When you reach the end of the track turn right, along the road before you, back into Auchterarder.
