St Columba's Episcopal Church
Aubery Crescent, Largs
Rector: The Very Revd. Dr Gregor Duncan |
We are one of a family of Anglican churches throughout the world - in
the UK the other Anglican churches are the Church of England, the Church of Ireland
and the Church of Wales.
We try, in the name of Jesus Christ, to be open, friendly and welcoming to all who come among us. Sunday Services are at 08:00, 11:00 and 18:30 At St Columba's we give an open welcome at all times to all who come among us, no matter how often or seldom they come to Church. After 11:00 Sunday Service all are encouraged to join together for coffee and a chat in the hall. |

St Columba's Parish Church
Promenade, Largs
Minister: Rev. David M. MacKay |
Newcomers and visitors to Largs and all who claim Jesus Christ as their
Saviour and Lord are welcome to share in our Communion.
The present building opened 1892 but there has been a church in Largs for at least eight centuries and some believe St. Columba himself founded the church here. Services are held at 11:00 in the Church each week. Holy Communion is celebrated on the last Sunday of October, January and April. (Short services of communion are held in the MacTaggart Memorial Side Chapel at 10:00 on certain Sundays, before the main service. Coffee and tea are served in the Session Room after Sunday service where the congregation can meet and talk together. |

The Church building and halls are situated on the south side of the pier and
the south end of Bath street. Whetther you are a newcomer to the town and have
been involved in a Congregation elsewhere or have never attended Church or at
least not for some time, you are assured of a warm welcome and Christian love
and fellowship within the Congregation of St John's.
Sunday Services are held at 11:00 & 18:30. Weekly Fellowship for Bible reading & prayer is usually every Tuesday at 19:30. There is also a creche, Sunday School and Bible Class at 11:00 Sundays. It is our firm belief and commitment that the message of the Gospel and of the love of God for us in Jesus Christ were never more relevant and needed than they are in our modern age. |
