his vibrant, progressive and exciting city has come a long way since it was
known only for its production of jam, jute and journalism!
Today it is one of Scotland's most successful cities, attracting industry and commerce which in turn brings wealth. The citizens of Dundee are justly proud of the vast range of leisure are recreational facilities available and of the excellent choice of quality educational establishments based here.
dward I (the Hammer of the Scots) sacked the town in 1296 but it was rebuilt with
proud determination and by the 12th century had been granted a royal charter
by Willian the Lion.
